LIGHT BULB VORONOI
This was a quick but rich and enjoyable 3D printing exercise. Our office had recently purchased its first SLA printer. We decided to test its legs by creating an extremely complex form which would have been a nightmare on the old PLA printer. Most of the project was learning to use the SLA printer, but a portion was dedicated to producing the geometry seen below. I developed a simple grasshopper definition which created random 3D voronoi spaces and then ran t-splines operation to add thickness and ‘weld’ the resultant curves together.
